The national spring and fall exams are offered at Prometric’s approximately 400 computer-based test centers throughout North America. Candidates register for exams through CSI. Candidates will receive their scores within minutes of completing an exam.

CDT Prep Course Webinar Series
This CDT prep course is a series of 11 On-Demand Webinars (about 10 hours of instructional time) that provide an overview of the fundamentals and formats of construction documents as promulgated by CSI and the general conditions of the contract for construction. The CDT prep course lays the groundwork for understanding the development of facilities and the ins and outs of the process and, most importantly, prepare students for taking the CDT exam.
Cost: $150 for members and $205 for nonmembers

MasterFormat® is a master list of numbers and titles classified by work results or construction practices, used throughout the North American construction industry to organize project manuals, detailed cost information, and relate drawing notations to specifications.
GreenFormat is a web-based CSI format that allows manufacturers to accurately report the sustainability properties of their products. It provides designers, constructors and building operators with basic information to help meet ‘green’ requirements.
SectionFormat™/PageFormat™, a joint publication of CSI and Construction Specifications Canada (CSC), combines the two recommended formatting standards into one publication, providing a uniform approach to organizing and presenting specification sections.
UniFormat, a publication of CSI and CSC, is a method of arranging construction information based on functional elements, or parts of a facility characterized by their functions, without regard to the materials and methods used to accomplish them. These elements are often referred to as systems or assemblies.
SpecGuy has published study tools assisting candidates for Construction Specifications Institute certification exams since 2001.
