Tour of Hollaender Manufacturing Facility

Join the Cincinnati Chapter of CSI for a tour of the Hollaender Manufacturing facility. Hollaender was founded in 1950 and is the US market leader in structural, slip on fittings - they make approximately two million fitttings per year, and are completely vertically integrated. The manufacturing facility has a modern sand cast foundry where they manufacture fittings from a special aluminum alloy, ALMAG 535. All secondary processing and machining is done here. They also have in house engineering and project management staff.
The biggest single application of their fittings is in handrail, so a natural progression of their business was to engineer and manufacture complete handrail systems, using aluminum or steel pipe and various styles of fittings.
Hollander Speed Rail is the specified handrail at all US Army Corps of Engineers Locks and Dams on the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers, as well as Cape Kennedy's NASA complex.
More recently, they have developed component handrail systems using infill panels for use in the architectural market.
Attendees will see the sand cast manufacturing process, as well as some samples of our product in actual applications.
